“We’re doing a lot better than people think.”–Jerome Glenn
“Change is the process by which the future invades our life, and it is important to look at it closely.”–Alvin Toffler, in Future Shock
The upcoming volume, After Shock, features 50 of the world’s most renowned futurists reflecting on the 50-year legacy of Alvin Toffler’s Future Shock, and looking ahead to the next 50 years. Seven of the contributors have been guests on Seeking Delphi™ This is the fourth in a series of repeats of these podcasts, which will lead up to panel discussion with some of the authors, on the book and the Toffler legacy.
Jerome Glenn is executive director of The Millennium Project, and lead author on The State of The Future, which is now in its 19th edition. He was first herard on Seeking Delphi™ in August of 2018, to talk about the book and where the future stands today. He will be one of three panelists to join me on the After Shock discussion, shortly after its release on February 4.
The day I read Futre Shock, just a couple of years after it came out, was the day that started me on the course to becoming a futurist. Here’s what I wrote on this blog when Toffler died in July of 2016.
